from 42 reviewsI have a progressive neurological condition which makes gripping heavy(ish) things challenging for me, so I searched for a tea mug with some sort of ergonomic grip. (I don't know what kind of sadists designed the "standard" coffee/tea mug handle, but it's not comfortable at all for me, especially when I have to carry my mug of hot tea from the kitchen to my home office.)
I can't recall how I stumbled upon the original Momnt Mug, but I took a chance and ordered a set of four and the difference between them and the mugs I'd been using was night and day.
I was thrilled to learn that a new version was coming which intended to address the small issues with the original version, so I pre-ordered as soon as I could.
They arrived a week or two ago and I love them. I can't comment on the lid (since I prefer my tea warm), but everything about them is fantastic.
If there's someone in your life who struggles with grip or holding a mug (or it's you!), I would encourage you to give it a try since it really could improve their life.

I would like to scream it from a mountain top, but only hikers would hear me and that's not really an advertisement. If you are reading this you are already thinking about buy, in the immortal word of shia labeouf just do it

I love it! It’s a bit heavier than I was imagining, but not problematically so, and only because I have weak baby noodle fingers (which is why I wanted this in the first place!) My default grip was also apparently at a bit of an angle, but with a very slight adjustment it’s really comfortable! Absolutely my go-to whenever I need a full-sized mug now. <3

I'm currently reading "The Beauty of Everyday Things" by Soetsu Yanagi, in which he urges society to appreciate the simple beauty of "mingei," or "folk crafts." In one section, Yanagi describes these "mingei" like this: "Since these utilitarian objects have a commonplace task to perform, they are dressed, so to speak, in modest wear and lead quiet lives. In them, one can almost feel a sense of satisfaction as they greet each day with a smile. They work thoughtlessly and unselfishly, carrying out effortlessly and inconspicuously whatever duty comes their way."
To me, this is the highest praise I can give my Momnt mug: it is a "mingei" in my life. Its simple beauty is only enhanced by its lack of ostentation and its durability in the face of daily use. My original Momnt mug still hangs on my wall and sees regular use because it has stood the test of time, and my new mug is no less than its equal.
I don't know what I'll be doing in five or ten years, but I think I will still have my Momnt mug, just as it is now, performing its daily duty quietly and inconspicuously.
Thank you for all your hard work.

I have always held my mugs with two fingers on the bottom of the handle. I thought this would be nice but I didn’t realize how much more comfortable it actually made holding it!

Allows me to enjoy the perfect cup of coffee every time. I love the capacity (allows for coffee and mixing in my collagen supplements) and the convenience of making a hot cup and running off to my first meeting without burning my hand! Highly recommend. I own two and have gifted a half dozen!

I love how the handle supports the weight of the mug. I've had problems with grip strength for years. Using this mug has helped reduce pain and irritation in my hand, wrist, and arm.

Got it for my wife who has arthritis and this helps with that. I tried it out myself and it is very comfortable to hold. Plus, the customer service was amazing. Had an issue and emailed them. They got back within 24 hours and solved the issue. Would definitely buy again.

Feels like 12 ounces, drinks like a satisfying 26 ounces. Amazing.

I have arthritis, and I am constantly feeling the pain in my fingers. These cups not only cut down on the stress in my hands, but also are just incredibly comfortable. Even without the specific needs I have, these mugs just rest perfectly in the hand and feel great. Coffee tastes better in them as well!

The mug came in a nice box and it shipped fast. The glaze quality is nice and the handle is comfortable. I recommend this to anyone who needs a little more grip for their morning coffee!

Excellent Quality. Great service, with spectacular communication about my order and when it would arrive.

The handle takes a bit to get used to, but it’s much more comfortable than regular handles

It's a simple idea
-
Your Hand's Natural Shape
First, we looked at how your hand and fingers align when you have a natural gripping shape.
-
Traditional Mugs
Many common mugs are not actually ergonomic, and they often force your fingers into awkward positions.
-
Momnt Mugs
Instead of forcing your fingers to fit around a handle, Momnt Mugs is designed to fit around your hand.

Ergonomics
It's not rocket science. We just designed the handle around your hand. As one customer told us, "it fits like a glove."

Never Slips
Better leverage lets you keep the mug upright without pinching the handle or twisting your wrist.
You can even hold it with two fingers like this and have complete control.

Heat-Free Hold
Because your grip won't slip, the mug doesn't tilt forward, preventing burned knuckles.

No Pain Points
A wider, contoured handles means you feel less pressure. This is especially noticeable for people with 2 or 3-finger grips who place their ring or pinky finger on the outside of the handle.

No More Crammed Fingers
Each finger has a place, so you won't have to cram fingers into a small handle anymore.

Plastic-Free
Every Momnt Mug is individually-packaged for safer shipping and easy gifting.

What's Wrong with Standard Handles?
Most are designed primarily for easy and cheap manufacturing or a traditional look. Because they're not focused on ergonomics and ease-of-use, this can create a range of issues.
Have you experienced one (or more) of these?
-
Slipped Grips
They rely on pinching the handle to keep it from slipping and tilting down.
-
Burned Knuckles
If your mug tilts too much, then your knuckles can touch the hot mug.
-
Pain Points
Thin handles put more pressure on your fingers with certain grips.
